So, did the weekly 60Km round trip shopping trip today with the new exhaust fitted.
Filled up with diesel ready for the off tomorrow and re-set trip 2. Now, this I find interesting, normally I would expect to see the consumption on the message centre get up to between 23 & 24 mpg. Today with the new exhaust it got up to 28.1, seems to have more bottom end too, bonus!
The new exhaust is a Double S stainless cat back system.
Complete system assembled to check.
New centre box.
One of the two rear boxes.
New cross pipe.
The old pipe that had come away from the centre box an sheared off at the joint over the axle, it was perforeated in several places.
All in all very happy, cost me 35% less than a mild steel one cost in France and the improved fuel consumption is an unexpected bonus.
