steering hoses (resevoir to pump, resevoir to box)

Hi guys,

have a disco 1 300tdi which has been leaking steering fluid from both pipes on the resevoir. Ive taken both pipes off, both were marked with a part number however cant find replacements anywhere. The part numbers are SB189-12, SB189-10. Would be gratefull for help here thanks

If you have a hydraulic engineering place near you, get them to make you up a set ...

cheaper too ...

If you are desperate, they are both at very low pressure. The reservoir to pump is gravity fed and the box back to the reservoir is only a couple of psi max!

As a temporary measure you can run almost ant reinforces hose, as long as you have a tight seal onto each of the metal ends.

Are you sure they were the part numbers - for a Disco1 reservoir to pump should be NTC 6069 ?
(That's a D1 89-98)

I just assumed they were part number with them being printed on the hoses. ive found the hose from resevoir to pump but the hose from resevoir to steering box doesnt look right. have a look on this link It says on the add its for a LHD? am i guessing that means left hand drive? Sorry to sound stupid!!!!

Nope, what you say sounds right ...

Land Rover sell in lots of LHD countries ...

if in doubt order your replacement using your VIN number for your vehicle ...
