part help

There is a piece of stiff wire, about 3" long that goes from the back of the front door barrel to the door catch. It basically makes the door lock/unlock when the key is turned. It is a 200tdi if that makes any difference. No central locking or anything exotic.

What is it called???? Anybody have a part number? Is it available as a spare?

Just wanted to know what satisfaction peeps got of being orrible to others.

I did look it up in microcat but for some reason the tratter data doesn't show when I open it so I'll check next time me old pc is on, if know one has answered his q.
