Fellow rover lovers need a bit of help now have my newly converted 90 3.9 efi up and running but not loving the fuel bills I knew it wouldn't be cheap but please......so thinking of LPG kit but don't know anything about them and have seen this....BRC AT90e vapouriser/regulator
BRC Elegant 51 controller, and wiring loom

I'm guessing a professionally fitted install is the way forward?

Your advice on LPG in general would be appreciated

F..k me, don't bring that one up, quite a few LPG haters on here, Personally I have no trouble with LPG, Oh F..k! I've put my foot in it now!
Put it this way, if you use it for plenty miles your on a winner but if only a weekend car, as some say LPG only for BBQs

I have LPG on my Defender, and I have had absolutely no problems at all. I was lucky in that the LPG was already fitted when I bought the vehicle. When running on LPG my fuel cost is approximately 10p per mile less than on petrol. As I do approx 15000 miles per year in my landy, the saving is considerable.

Mine too was already converted , I drive approx 10k per yaer in it, sod tthe petrol prices.
It has now done just over 100k on LPG, no probs & oil always stays clean

Have a look at the LPG DISCUSSION FORUM there are loads of knowlageable folks on there who will point you in the right direction,
and reccomend a installer in your area
I break all the rules 1.8 Freelander and LPG!!!!

Ive got it on the Disco, had no problems with it, starts on petrol and switches to gas when engine warms up, was put on about 9 months ago and cost £1460 all certified and its a multipoint system

thats very cheap , I got quoted 1500 for an internal tanks set up with just mixers on my twin su carbs and 2k for under slung. that was two different places too.

you lot northerners? I hear its all cheaper up there :p

If you DIY, the parts aint that expensive, although insurers don't like DIY.
I changed my tanks last year as they were corroded to hell (laminating) as they were over 11yrs old. I got 2 new 40litre tanks & two new solenoid operated valves plus sender unit (senders are about as much use as a stick in a bucket) for approx £230.
Single point systems are not recommended for V8s since the latest tech, but they are trouble free. Mine is single point, nearly 12 years old, no probs apart from renewing a Diaphragm (rarely). Also starts on gas first thing in the morning.
