front hub seems bit hot

Bearing would have to be mightily overtightened or really shagged to generate much heat,I would go with the sticking brake theory;)
Dunno though. We had some really warm hubs on our old Series which seemed to be to do with disintegrating rollers and no grease. Or rather a kind of paste made of rust powder and seawater. The previous owner had used it to to launch boats. You'd be able to feel this as they'd feel very rough when rotating by hand.
