Ok jus had a go at taking the dim dip out all I done is joined the 2 blue/red wires together and it seems to work ok is that all I got to do

what so you've removed the dip beam so you only have high beam something about that seems like an MOT fail………..

No so I can have jus sidelights on and not headlights/sidelights together at 60% power

Ahhh makes more sense, should have been wired up that way anyway though shouldn't it ?
Mine only come on when you click to the second setting, first = sides, second = head and sides
