Hi all my rpm on my rangie , 4.6 1999, thor engine is running unusally high its running at 1200 ish and when i ease off the accelerator peddle it only drops to 1000 rpm but if i drop it out of gear it does go down to 850 rpm, its also starts to accelerate on its own a bit , could this be a faulty maf sensor or a faulty throttle sensor ???????? .

More likely an air leak. Check all the pipes around the throttle body.

No not really, look for split pipes on rocker vents and around idle air control valve.
