Does heat has an effect on Air Suspension?

I have another question for you guys.

Since the past few days we have temperatures ranging from 34 to 38 in Japan, and since then each morning when I take my P38 during the holidays I find the car sitting in Access Mode on the front only (REAR is just fine).

The PUMP and Air Bags has been changed in January. I did not have a lot of time to check under but when the car start the system works nicely the car level-up very quickly and all setting respond flawlessly.

So do I have a Leak due to the Heat and where should I look? Or is this something normal due to the heat?

This happened just recently, I was in the mountain area 3 weeks ago with moderate temperature and did not had such problems.

If it was normal surely the rear would have dropped as well? I think you just have a leak and I doubt if a few extra degrees of heat would make difference.

It's been between 36C and 40C here for the last few days and mine doesn't drop. You have a leak that is dropping it too fast for the self leveling to react when parked.

I drove the car today and parked it for several hours and it was just fine, will see tomorrow. Now... How to check these leaks ? As I said the Air Bags are new (3000km max) so where to check?

All the pipe connections especially the ones to the airbags.

I will do as much as I can today... Hope it will not cost my an arm to fix and that it is in fact just a simple stuff to fix!

Huston we have a leak !

I found the culprit and it is a big one... It seems to be the O Ring or whatever stuff that seat on top of the front right Air Bag... I called the company that deal with my car and they will fix it Friday as soon as I am back to Tokyo. They told me that it will take 30 minutes to fix and will cost me around 25 to 35 € (Part + Installation).

Great job Spacepig. Leak found, will be sorted by the weekend and all for the relatively cheap price of 35 euro. Just think of the hundreds of euros you have saved yourself by being proactive and dealing with problem - a lesson to us all.

Thanks, but I am scare that my skills are limited to either drive these things or being able to spray some soapy water ;-). I wish I could have the skills, time and space that you guys have to fix your car.

You could do that job yourself in 15 minutes, drop car to access height, open tail gate, jack under chassis and lift a little, gloves and goggles on, press brass collet with a screw driver and at the same time pull on the pipe, it will come out with a whoosh of air. Pull collet out, hook out the 2 "O" rings, smear with a little silicone grease or washing up liquid, pop back into place, re fit pipe, close tailgate & start car, select normal height on dash & wait for it to come up. Re-check pipe is fully home spray for leaks, job done.

It sounds easy indeed, but when it comes to these things I prefer to have someone who has experience in the matter doing it with me... This said... I will check who they do it next Friday so if the other side comes with the same symptom I will do it by myself!!!!

Well it this is one is over and fixed! It cost me just 3990 Yen or 32 of your British Pound.
Now indeed it is an easy job, BUT! You need the proper tool to do it and the spare parts... Unfortunately for me, Japanese HATE like the black plague everything related to DIY, if it is broken you either give it to fix to the manufacturer or throw it away. Meaning that in my case I will have to source these parts in the UK and import them... Bottom line, for 32 Pounds and 30 10 minutes wait... I can live without doing it myself...

LOL, sorry... Well I am not sure how you call these but they changed two O Rings seals and a 6mm Collet (metallic part) and done no more leaks.
