I've got the old type Synergy on my Rover 75 diesel (same M47 engine) and that has 3 setting ranges, 1-3 for a good stanard maff, 4 to 6 for a 'tired' standard maff, 7-9 for a pierburgh maf, 10 for naughtiness!
Best thing to do is ring Ron and ask him, he's really rather helpful
