Hi all! I drove and worked on a series 1 (see avatar) with my Dad many years ago. Just about to plunge into Land Rover ownership with a decent condition (I reckon) '95 Discovery 300tdi.

Any last minute tips on what to look for/test would be great. Looked for rot, tested transfer box, pulls well, 107K seems reasonable on a 95.

I see there are plenty of you in this area or thereabouts. Recommend a good LR specialist garage?

I think I'm going to like it here.:D

There is a good landy garage (I forgot the name) in Plympton - if you ring Brookwells 4x4 (plympton number) and ask for a recommended garage - that's the one they will advise you to use.

Welcome BTW... Which bit of the town are you in?

Hi and thanks for the info. Plympton is handy, I'm actually outside of town more towards Ivybridge/Lee Mill.

I think Relentless Rovers is out that way (Jon on 07730 758244) ~ I may be wrong though...

Mail Order 4x4 has an outlet out the back of the Lee mill estate for spares etc.
