its the heat the adhesive has to cope with, that's the problem with carpet glues etc

How about this: High Temp Spray Adhesive 500ml

Resistant enough for UK weather? Although, it doesn't mention water resistance.

well it's the only one that specifically states its suitable for headlining, so I would assume yes
