ok, so a few of us seem to be online at the moment.

How about we pencil something in for next weekend? saturday? sunday? im easy. just confirmed with the missus who says there is nothing in the calendar.

I dont know many lanes but i get the distinct impression there are a few around twycross, sheepy magna and surrounding area to keep us entertained for a few hours.

Fancy meeting in a boozer car park and going from there?

Matt

hi new to this forum been to a few greenlane meets before, from lichfield so not to far from you lot! Would love to tag along if you planning something for this weekend? in a defender 110
Thanks!

I'll be up for this on Sunday aswell. My only question it does anyone know if there's any deep water as my V8 doesn't have and swimming gear yet lol

it'll be fine.......

Haha, famous last words! :D im sure it will be though.

Im more concerned with the "has anyone got any routes" question though to be fair?!

where does everyone want to meet? im based in sutton coldfield but can meet any where.

Funkykipper - i know youve organised similar, do you think there is enough lanes around twycross and sheepy for us? or do you not want to do sheepy after your bad experience? :D

Matt

lol famous last words indeed.

what would be good might be a few lanes and lunch so we all get to know one another and one anothers abilities then venture further afield at a later date, hopefully with my cb radio fitted by then :)

whose gonna be brave enough to lead the way :)

It has been a while for me, so I had better not offer to lead.

However, can meet pretty much anywhere - not too early though eh?

ok, just so we have a list of who's up for this

in no particular order

_jason_ + 2 passengers
4x4tom
big_ginga_beard
fesuvious
funkykipper

defender89 mentioned it and also marshal-beej depending on the mot

personally time wise, if we are thinking maybe a couple of hours greenlaning then having a bit of lunch I reckon around 10:30/11am ish??

O.k well I can lead with a pretty decent route.
Starting at the Red Gate Pub car park at the junction of the A5 and A444.

Heading up towards Twycross and then Coalville and Shepshed.

The majority of the lanes I have got stuck on oops erm have done before and some that will be new.

So it might be a good idea to start early say about 8:30am or for late risers the Services at junction 10 on the A444/M42 at about 11am ish as we'll stop for a break.

How's that?

count me in at the moment. unfortunately i got home tonight and I think my disco has got a little worried about the possibility of driving through water and its ****ed itself on the drive. turns out its a split hose so ordered a new one just which should hopefully come before the weekend, especially as i've paid for express delivery lol

Sounds good to me. Me and the missus will be in the early risers group at the red gate pub.

Looking forward to this people, will be fitting winch bumper, steering guard and diff guards tomorrow morning so i hope they will get plenty dirty on sunday.:D

Would it be helpful if i fitted the winch?

was going to leave it until next week but can go to craddocks tomorrow and get a split charge and fit that also.

Well the belt and braces approach would say yes have a winch. But I think there will be enough of us to provide a tug.
One lane is quite rutted and last November I got stuck quite bad, it took two V8s in tandem to pull me out and we still spent six hours in total getting everyone out and off the lane.

Oh how I look back on that Sunday with great fondness. Time to confront the beast again!!!

But I am sure it won't be as soft now as we've hardly had any rain.

I need to sort out my profile on here, but,
