Win7 microcat

Anyone got micro working in win7? i cant make no sense of it... compatabillity no good either

32 bit or 64 bit Windows 7? I am guessing that Microcat is an old program?

Overwiring the mg16.dll with the "crack" (google instructions on the net) might work as it has done for others.

Oh yer sorry its 64bit, microcat wont install cos its 32bit... it wont install for me to overwrite that dll file... off to have a look at ur link... cheers

Perhaps it is possible recompile the download or CD, but using the new mg16.dll.

Or...if the program is pretty basic, install on a Windows XP machine, copy the installation folder and then register the dll files.

I really couldnt say , ive extracted the micro files to a folder from the nrg download and theres a mg16 and mg32 dll file... maybe thats the problem cos the program hasnt been written with mg64.dll?

Yeah, from what I have read on the net it simply has not been writen for 64 bit...but apparently some people have found that replacing the mg16 file (in W764) and it has worked. You could faff about with that I guess, or just use Windows Virtual Machine.

Tried replacing that file but still no good... the windows virtual machine wont work on home premium according to ms... so sod microcat.. av ter install it on the kids xp... cheers rusty

Oh, bugger! There are other Virtual Machines other than Microsoft, but I guess installing it onto the kids xp is easier!

Ive installed oracle vm virtual box... allows a vertual pc to run within win7 (64bit), it opens a window up as a virtual pc within win 7 but when i try and boot win xp setup says it cant find a hdd, Oracle has set a virtual drive at 20gb but setup obviously cant find it does anyone know how to change settings to enable it? the objective is to run microcat 32bit on a 64 bit pc

I fookin give up, got a virtual win xp running within 7 everythings fine... ive installed microcat but when i open it i get the bsod... bollix to it
