So here it is....

....Inherrited a S3 1977 in really, really good nick - been in the family since new, grandfather used only on road and has only done 52k miles from new. He brought it from Solihull and drove in round to the waxoil guys and its in great condition - never had welding...

...Fast foward to me - bagged a v8 from SD1 with mounting kit (was installed in S2)...

Ready to bolt in....

...Head says keep it original (I have EVERY recipt since 1977)...

...Heart says V8 RUMBLE BABY!!!!!

I can not decide...

Vote either way and I'll post results in 1 weeks time - I WILL CONFORM TO THE MAJORITY....

you'd be a cock to do that keep it original and buy a heap like series71's for the engine swap ;)
 
keep it original. Or sell it to someone who is willing to and buy a rust bucket to put the V8 in.
