Hi all,

I want to use a water repellant on/in the harness plugs as I get water in them from time to time causing a misfire.

What products would everyone recommend?

Thanks,

Ash

I use Contralube,a bit pricey, but bloody excellent. Its used on boats and stuff so you know it'll be good.I've used it on connectors for Ronbox,it doesn't interfere with electrical signals at all.
Cant recommend it highly enough
I don't work for them or have any interests in the company.

Funnily enough I was just looking at that. Can use it directly on the contacts?

The spray stuff for your HT leads is just sold as ignition sealer my tin is holts nasty stuff just a thing plastic type coating. As for any other electrical contacts no need for fancy stuff std silicone grease is a dielectric so wont conduct. Used to use it on boats but never used any on the fancy ecu multi plugs you find in your engine bay but no reason it shouldnt work.

You can't put silicone on plug surfaces but you can with contralube. It doesn't affect the electrics at all, apart from keeping them dry, brilliant stuff
