Hello Newbie here

My discovery 4 has suspected crank failure and was thinking about a recon engine.
Has anyone on here had one fitted from a reputable company that they can recommend?

I know LR recon ones are expensive.

Hello happens last week.
Took it to a local specialist and he diagnosed it as the crank.
I unexpectedly started it briefly when unloading of the transport vehicle & it was running lumpy.

hi I had a 2012 discovery 4 hse ….great machine but engine packed up so local garage quoted to high so saw post on ebay for a garage in wales who would come pick up and did a 10 day turnaround....prior to sending down I asked for video of garage and all looked good..vehicle left and few days...

Generally owners that can't repair the vehicle themselves, often sell it on as spares or repairs. It's sad but true that repairs of this fault generally exceed the value of the vehicle.
