Hi hoping someone can help with the growing number of things going wrong!
I have had her for about 3 years and the first few years she got a lot of TLC since then a little one has taken the attention! And after being parked up after the winter she hasn't been touched!
Now had some time to come back to her and have a growing list as follows any help would be very welcome

Water filling the passenger footwell! After removing the front seats, carpets and all of the lower dash I think it is coming from the a pilar under the windscreen! Is this a windscreen out job??

This has then led to a further problem that were the water has been running down the sound proofing it has completely rusted the bulkhead around the cable gromit! Is there a good way of fixing this without welding a new pice in and torching the cables!

And last and possibly the worst I have a bit of an electrical problem when I turn the key to the 2 position all the warning lights flash rapidly and the engine relay clicks at the same speed! I never gets thought it cheeks as relay never stays closed so when you try and crack her nothing happens!

Sorry for the long post any help please

Both sunroofs are sealed! The water is coming in higher then the bulkhead cable gromit? And I can see quite a lot of rust under the windscreen were the A post meets the body!

Will check the voltage agin but was getting 13.8 volts as a low with key in position 2!

Thanks for the reply

It may well be the top of the screen in the corners, pull back the rubbers and have a look, also check the gutter corners as they are known to leak. Either of these leaks will result in water travelling down the A pillar. Both can be fixed by a good sealant.

It sounds like the electrical problems have/are being caused by the water ingress, BCU tucked up under the dash on the near side and internal fusebox on the off side, check both for water damage.

Thank you

The windscreen has a chip that has turned to a crack in the middle so is going to need to be replaced anyway so is my best bet to get it out and find all the holes before getting a new one fitted?

I will pull the BCU out and have a look is the key programing hard programed (EPROM) so being unplugged will not lose info?

Thanks

Olly

Hi again

Think I have tracked down the leak! After dismantling most of the dash! Looks to be coming from the seem under dash were the bulkhead meets the top of the car by were the heater is! Is this the same seem that you can see under the bottom plastic under the screen??

I think this is the same plane the drivers side is leaking to??

What is the best way of sealing??

Thanks

Olly

What does the battery voltage go to when you turn the key to the cranking position? It may indicate a screwed battery not taking an amp drain despite showing 13.8 without much power usage...

Hi all need a bit of advice! Found the main leak have rust holes in the top of the bulkhead bottom of the A pilars under the windscreen! Dose any one know were I can get repair sections can find for everything apart from disco 2 !
Thanks

Sounds like the battery is shot to me. I have seen that behaviour on several of my cars and always when the battery is shot.
