Long time member, always been a looker, not getting involved, my user name lends
Itself to when I had my lovely Mazda powered 1985 station wagon ( long since gone)
I bought a 95 5 door v8 disco about 3 years ago, she’s pretty straight but been sorn
For over a year, recently tried to sell ( life problems) but no interest, loads out there
For sale for next to nothing, so I’m thinking of keeping her to at least get the use she needs
I removed the rear seats after purchase and she’s been a little camper, not sure how
I want to go forward, pondering fitting a bongo pop top on, awning etc, to keep her
Standard would mean a nut and bolt rebuild and I’ve not got the space for that, she has
Hardly any rust issues so planning to lanoguard as I reinstate her, headlining needs doing
But with my roof plans that will be part of that, anyway, thought I’d post and update
Myself, anybody done a roof conversion??

Not too bad to be fair but kits are ££££
My disco 1 V8 came with a very professionally fitted lpg kit. 4 tanks underneath and a special small petrol tank.
Only problem is that the system hasn't ever been certified, I wanted that for the insuraance and the local bloke took one look at it and declared his lack of interest in doing anything about it!
The disco cost me £1250 and i have never thus run it around on the road. But the few miles I did do in it it ran like a bird. It is still therefore yet another project.
LPG is harder to find than it used to be but still findable, just!
You may be able to find a car like mine, pinch the lpg off it and then flog the car on again!
