I was looking for a steering guard. Is it true that some guards will not fit D1 with air con? That's what some of the manufacturers were saying. Any recommendations?

I want to upgrade my tyres to BFG 235/70R16 A/T on steel modulars in black. How do steel modulars compare to the original alloys? Are they as good as alloys? TIA

When I bought my D1 last year in Feb, it had old battery which went flat after a week. Now I have Varta battery and can leave it for a month even in cold weather - always works.

Strange crunch? I noticed: - when slowing down from speeds above 50 mph - without using the brakes - all gears change nice and smooth all the way to 1st - when slowing down from speeds above 50 mph - using rather heavy braking - at some point, I believe it's the 2nd to 1st gear change -...

I have never done it so need some advise. Are there any points on the chassis where it is safe to use axle stands to support the weight of Disco 1? I need some good ground clearance to change oil filter in auto transmission. Also can I put a hydraulic trolley jack under the axle...

Fuel starvation and misses... I had similar problem with my Disco, it stalled few times on the motorway too :eek: It turned out to be faulty injector no4; the one with the sensor. ERR 3337 Fuel Injector I was lucky to get one on eBay; no one makes them anymore.
