P.S I checked for leaks and cannot see any ( although cannot be 100% ) there does not appear to be any horrid stuff out of the exhaust.

OOH, I have 1.8 Freelander and am pretty fed up with the negative press that these cars receive, yes there was a problem with the 1.8 engine, but bearing in mind that it is the largest selling 4x4 statistically numbers wise there will be more problems than most ( especially with Landrover...
