    Africa all the way round!

Sounds like it's going well Gee. We are currently in the infancy of planning our trip down the east coast for autumn 2015. Facebook, Twitter and website all up and running (although haven't paid for a domain name yet) Hopefully you might still be travelling and we can meet up! Buzz

Brown church style Full length roof rack 110

Hey Badger Are you still in Torquay?? I have one - and I plan to replace it - only thing is I need to sort a rear wheel carrier before I do - as currently the spare wheel is mounted on there. I don't need to wait until I replace the roof rack (although that is my plan) but I do need to...

Am i missing a drain plug?

The function that brings up similar titled threads is cracking - I had been searching for ages trying to find out the exact same piece of info as I had just panicked at the thought of a drain plug missing and everything seizing because the oil had all leaked out. Luckily found this thread and...

    First ever Landy

Think mine may need a bit of engine tuning. Really sluggish- but I suppose it is 2+ton Vibrations aren't too bad at 65, and balancing was done few months ago, but last time I drove any distance that's when the propshaft sheared. Obviously with a brand new propshaft and UJ's it should all be...

    First ever Landy

Cheers for the tips! all very helpful the lot of you. quick broad question.... any idea why half the wheels on my Landy have little lead weights clipped to the hubs? I presume there must be a balance issue, but not heard of adding weight - are they twisted in some way? someone been knocking...

    First ever Landy

Thank all. Cowasaki Cheers for the advice. So far total replacement of the rear door seems best and hopefully between here and Haynes I can sort out reglazing and setting up the wiper. I think anything electronic will need replacing rather than transferring. It is only one second...

    First ever Landy

Hi all, Having introduced myself some months ago on the forum (it was in the correct place - didn't want to make that mistake) and explaining that I have always wanted a Land Rover having grown up around them, I am pleased to announce i finally have one. As my family and Girlfriend are already...

    Africa all the way round!

If you do, give me a PM - myself, another doc, and a paramedic and my Gf are all planning heading off autumn 2015. So if your GF has finished medschool by then, be happy to have a fellow truck along side us.

Hiya, I was wondering whether I could ask you help/advice. I am planning a charity overland trip to cape town in a 110 300tdi (yet to be bought) - however my knowledge of landy's and vehicles in general ends about there. I was wondering whether you know of anywhere near Torquay where when i...

Hiya, My name is Matt, I live in Torquay. I am planning a fund-raising overland trip to cape town and plan to buy a 110 300 TDI to do up. However I am a novice. I just wondered whether you might be in a position, or know of anyone in a position who could help/advice me with knowledge, on the...

    Hi to you all

Yeh am looking into finding a garage in the area. Annoyingly a lot of the ones for rent are all from those poxy new cardboard houses.... so the garages can barely fit a ford fiesta in, let alone a landy. So could do with a workspace or double. But more pricey.
