That's great I have tested the wire to switch with ignition on but no joy looks like ill be having the dash out to try and chase this bloody wire anything else I can try before I make a mess :-)

I have swapped the bulb bust to be sure and nothing I have read sum were that it is an earth wire is this true???so you saying run power cable to it??thanks for your help

Sorry James just read your post again no I haven't tested oil pressure If I can get the light working again then that will be my next point of call if its still flicking

No sorry it was flickering but now I have changed the oil pump which I'm sure was causing low oil pressure which made the light flicker but now the light isn't working at all I have bought 3 switches and still nothing surly they all Can not be broke :-(

Thanks for the reply everything inside is sound it's all mint and the engine sounds sweet,it's just the oil light now may be just a coincidence that its completely gone now iv put in the oil pump I have put a electrical reader on the wires but its got now power it's really doing my nut in...
