I have a new belt on stock, so will replace that first. Been doing some off-road and greenlaning. There was some mud and water on the engine, maybe the belt suffered from that.

I hear a squeaking noise when turning fully left or right. also the alternator light comes on. So, I thought it was the belt. But after adjusting the belt the noise is still there. it only happens driving slowly around a corner and steering wheel fully left or right. Can it be something else...

Small comment from me. Please be carfull with the wiring. I made a small mistake installing a car radio, took the wrong feed wire and all most burned the whole wiring harness. Ask somebody to double check it for you if your not 150 % sure.

What ever you do, do not fit the fan directly onto the radiator with the supplied plastic tie-raps that have to be put through the element. I just had a leaking rad. Because of that. I made metal strips on the frame of the rad. , see my post on this.

The fan is fitted lower then the strips, as close as possible to the radiator to avoid false air.

Same situation here, new rad. Hoses , pump etc. I will buy a new stat. and let you know.

Thanks, i bought 200tdi stat. , so must be ok. I will take it out and check the temp. , should be stamped on the stat.

today fitted a new radiator, i have put the fan on two metal strips, just before the radiator, the strips are bolted to the frame

Well, i think so. Not during driving, but i was stationaire for 1 hour last weekend with running engine, then i needed it. Also in slow trafic at hot summer days

Hi, I have a 2.5 n/a - 200tdi conversion and I also think that temp. is a little bit to high. With the old engine the needle was right in the middle and now it is 3/4 of the scale. Still ok but higher. I do not understand how the water temp. can get 94 C when the thermostate is 82 C ?

Hi, it's been a long time I was on this form, but now I have an question. I have done a 2.5 n/a to 200 TDI conversion in my 110 1984. No problems. I have fitted a elec. fan onto the radiator by using the supplied plastic straps, you have to put though the radiator. Now the radiator leaks...

Hello, I'm doing a engine conversion 2.5 n/a 200 tdi, car is 110 1984 rhd. I know that the old hoses of the 200 tdi are to short to use again. Steve Parker is offering complet hoses sets for this conversion., Does anyone has experience with these sets? Some use pieces of pipe to make it fit...

Ok, thanks wolf. Will do it piece by piece. read somewhere you can work from the inside out, removing panels to get to the bolts more easy.

Hello, I'm doing an engine conversion at the moment. 2.5 n/a out, 200 tdi in. Since my gear box is bad, I also change that for a reconditioned one. Question now is, can I take the engine with gear box still attached to it out in one piece? Or first engine and then gear box. It's a 110 rhd 1984.
