Just an update still getting 34-36 mpg around town happy days im even running on shell vpower nitro as it runs much sweeter only saw the improvement when I fitted a new genuine maf sensor

Cheers the pump is clear the slight misfire can only be felt on light throttle put the boot down its off like a train checked wiring over air con pump not sure what else to try

I fitted britpart performance filter, but they only thing that improved my mpg was fitting a new genuine MAF sensor after I tested mine with a meter I wasnt getting any readings between pins 1-3 and 2-3

Ive blanked egr fit performance air filter replaced injector harness full oil n filter change was still getting crap mpg since replaced maf sensor used genuine parts now im getting 34-35 mpg around town 140 miles to 30 quid done it 3 times nowcoz I ccouldn't believe it

Do I need to drop the tank to access the pump, I had it into simmonites they had a listen and confirmed a slight misfire or lumpy running

Its been on testbook and only faults were maf n egr

Thanks for the suggestions, just to be a bit more specific I mean for all I know it could be characteristics of the 5 pot engine, there is no smell of fuel in the oil so dont suspect seals in injectors and there doesnt seem to be a loss of power throughout the rpm range hence why ive not...

Apparently this is quite normal as it states in the book that the system goes to sleep if left long periods once you unlock the driver's door manually press the unlock button on the key fob again the key fob should become active and disable your alarm
