    AC fans not running

Ok, today I noticed the fan wasn’t working after a gentle run and it’s fairly warm out. The a/c compressor was cutting in and out and the pipe was really hot. Put it straight on Hawkeye. No engine faults... HOWEVER... I was not able to actuate the fans using Hawkeye. I had to power cycle the...

    AC fans not running

Many thanks for helping me understand some of the systems idiosyncrasies!! Sometimes it won’t play ball and fans won’t come on and let the a/c overheat..and not even throw a fault....crackers! Land Rover gremlin playing games with me! More head scratching.... Curiously, I did find a fault...

    AC fans not running

The plot thickens! Hawkeye shows no engine faults. I can force the fans to run any speed using Hawkeye under engine control. Is the A/C Under a different control than the engine ECU? I’m confused now!

    AC fans not running

Another question... what is the blue connector near the battery try that links to the coolant pack loom? Just had that apart and cleaned with contact spray. Fans came on in 5 seconds after starting from cold. Could be a coincidence mind you! I’ll put it on Hawkeye tomorrow see if that will...

    Maximum Safe Payload

Hi, Does anyone know the safe payload for a Freelander 1 TD4? I'm confused with all the data I've looked up. I want to transport a load of 2x2 paving slabs and wondering how many I can take at a time safely Drax

    TD4 fuel gauge and consumption

I'm new to owning a Freelander and after about 8 weeks of ownership of a TD4 I can report the same inaccurate fuel gauge. I use mine for long motorway runs and can easily get 450 miles from a tank.... I only drive at a constant 60mph though :)

    Hello from Essex

Sorry new to everything Land Rover, explain Hippo? I've always owned British based cars Rovers (I recognise some rover parts on the Freelander!) and Jags so used to the flak now. I can give as good as I get!
