Thanks. I'll bag one off eBay now. Will I need anything else? Obviously brake fluid. No gaskets or anything?

    Occasional judder when coasting.

I have a H reg Disco. It has recently started to vibrate a little, but only when I am going at really slow speed and when I keep the clutch in. ie. when I'm coasting up to a junction. It seems to drive ok. Any ideas?

Brake fluid leaking from here (see pic)

Hi, I have a H reg Disco. I assume it must be a Disco 1 right? Anyway, my brakes are non existent and the pedal goes right to the floor. I checked the fluid and it was really low. I topped it up, but the pedal is still very soft. It seems like it's leaking from the master cylinder. I've...

    Heaters not working.

I'm about to buy a H-reg disco, but when I tested it, the guy said the heaters didn't work. They heat up and go cold he said, but the blowers don't work. I seem to remember someone telling me to be wary of buying one if the heaters don't work. Is that only if the hot and clod doesn't work...

    Freelander Petrol...Won't start. Spluttering.

It's on a T Plate. It was working fine before. It's been sitting on the drive for around 3 months. Now this

    Freelander Petrol...Won't start. Spluttering.

Hi, I bought this Freelander and had nothing but problems. It was making a squeaking noise which I thought was the thrust bearing. I tried driving it home but it went within 10 mins of driving down the road. It would not come out of gear unless the engine was turned off. I've saved up...

Is this a new clutch jobbie?

Just tried moving the truck and realised the clutch pedal is solid. Not sure if it was like that before it actually went, as my mate was driving it. Does this change matters as far as the job goes?

Is this a new clutch jobbie?

Thanks. I don't suppose anyone knows of a good step by step guide on changing the clutch? I've had a look through the forum but can't seem to find one for the 1.8 petrol.

Is this a new clutch jobbie?

So just a new clutch and thrust, or might there be more stuff I need to sort out while its all off? The TC light and ABS lights were on too. This isn't anything connected at all though right? Brakes and Tractin control can be sorted again. Just want to get this clutch right. Thanks

Is this a new clutch jobbie?

Pedal seems ok. Although I haven't driven a freelander before. Would hydraulics make a whistling/whining sound when the pedal was pressed though?

On a scale of 1-10, 1 being the easiest clutch to change on a car. What would this be?

Great! Thanks. I have plenty of time, but not a lot of cash. I was thinking, instead of paying someone £200 or whatever to change it. I'd spend the cash on the right tools for the job. Can you point me in the right direction? I have a full Halfords Professional set, but nothing really...

Is this a new clutch jobbie?

Just bought a 1999 1.8 freelander. There was a whistling/squeaking noise when I put my foot on the clutch. Thrust bearing I figured. I thought it would be ok for a while until I got round to changing it. Anyway, long story short...It lasted all of 5 miles. The car carried on driving...

A 1999 Freelander 1.8 Petrol. I've never changed a clutch on my own, but helped on a few in the past on small cars. I don't have a garage with ramps, so I'll be relying on small ramps and jacks etc. I'm ok with tools and can follow instructions easy enough, but don't have thousands of...
