Interesting thread. I have left them off my front discs after replacing the calipers on my 110 Husky rebuild... I did wonder if they assisted to divert cool air to the discs on top of protecting them from foreign object damage. They are not the strongest so I assumed they'd do more damage to the...

Yes they last a while but I've just replaced mine and the old one crumbled away... That said it is a pint if sold :p

You'll need to spend £5K on a 110 and even at that it'll start to need some work. You'll get a good Td5 Disco 2 for £3.5-4K so either save hard for a good 110 or save a little more and get a D2 Td5... I spent £6K on my first 110 300 Tdi CSW, whilst it was good, the 2nd row doors were starting...

The inner bit is where the sides bolt to the roof and the outer bit is the gutter to carry water run off and securing roof rails/racks. Both essential parts I may add. Also provide rigidity to the roof structure...
