What is the eBay etiquette if you see what you think is part of your car? A Defender hard spare wheel cover has been listed in West Sussex and am tempted to ask where they got it from! Hmmm would anyone be offended if asked? Seen a new listing for a used genuine hard wheel cover and mine had one...

It drives you slightly mad! Everywhere we go now I look out for my Scottie and am constantly checking new eBay and other classified listings or breakers bits! Spoke to Land Rover in Edenbridge yesterday and they know about 5 that have been taken in the area in the last week! Mainly TD5's it...

Have started searching websites in Europe such as Holland, Germany, Belgium etc and then also Poland and seeing if by any chance it is on its way to Pakistan or Africa. They did catch a load of people shipping Defenders to Malta so will check that out as well. I am NOT giving up!!

So Sorry to hear that mine was stolen last Monday and still nothing, am searching Gumtree, classifieds, eBAy and have started searching on the webpages of Europe just in case someone proudly photographs their new landy! I have shared it on FB hope you get it back.

Just seen they tried in Nutley the following evening (3rd December) as well maybe they are going along the A25? Sevenoaks, Caterham, Oxted, Nutley.... attempted theft of 300tdi and td5 3dec nutley Meeting with the police tomorrow to see if they have anything for me.

Nothing special just what it came with, it was due to be upgraded and head to the old garage on Saturday for all sorts of works. Sods law really :( if they do find my Landy it will be swiftly upgraded and a tracker fitted! Still scouring gumtree, eBay etc just in case they are breaking it up. :(

Turns out they also nicked a lovely 130 from Sevenoaks last night and this afternoon a 2 horse trailer was stolen from Smallfield which is not a million miles from where we live in Oxted. LandyWatch Forum - Keeping an eye on your Land Rover - Portal

He was fab, got us through the snow last year and has been very useful lugging all sorts of stuff about. Am not giving up though am trawling online adds etc just in case and will have a proper look at the weekend in the daylight hours. Glad they didn't get yours.

Insurance company will call me about my claim apparently but told them they didn't understand, I don't want money I want my Scottie (Landy) back! We have checked farms, dark country roads but no luck. So very very sad and irritated :( thank you all again for your help.

Was stolen between 17:00 and 19:15 the police think they were waiting for my husband to leave and then took the car. :( so sad

Thank you. Have spoken to the police and asked the neighbours but they didn't see anything. No cctv sadly but it is the only blue one in this area. Absolutely gutted :(

Husband has just said it was still here at 17:00 so some bugger has taken it between 17:00 and 19:15.

Glad I am not the only one! Bought my 2003 TD5 landy in August last year and totally hooked! Am building up a scrap book of jobs for 2013. A bit different after having a new modern mini!:) current issues are condensation on the inside of the roof and a general tidy up but so far have found loads...
