Not to make you out to be daft but have you checked the red and white trigger wire on the starter and its condition and also the spade itself on the starter? are yiou getting 12v to this when you put the key to the start position? again not making you out to be stupid :)

Yea that's still there at the moment I'll get that sorted when I get my 90 bulkhead finished. I hated the 110 at first but since going to tdi power (2.25 petrol was shocking and way too thirsty) and adding power steering I like it a lot more. But I still miss how compact a 90 is, but hopefully...

Ahh I misread I have the standard bus wheel. My cousin ordered one from Timber Trail 4x4 with a boss for around £70, that's a nice wheel too not a cheapo one with floppy spokes.
