I used Dunning & Fairbanks to make a new rear one for my 88" with a V8 and a Salisbury. Was around £120 + VAT iirc.

Mine was registered 13 days after the new band was introduced. :( Still worth it though, is a fab car even with it's foibles.

I've got one, is a decent bit of kit for the money. Has helped me diagnose a dodgy cylinder on my Series.

On my 2006 Disco 3, running 2T can 2-3 mpg difference and is somewhat smoother too. Cheap ASDA red stuff (JASO FB) @£5/l works fine.

Yes, that bit. I have ordered a new one from Burlen. Approx £6+postage The old one did not want to come out, so was lightly drilled with a 6mm bit until it span and was able to pull out. Hopefully, I can get the new one in square without bending it.

I have not noticed it using any oil, the exhaust gas is generally clear, however I have just run it for 15mins or so to set up the carbs, and have got some oil on the No. 2 plug tip. Not a good sign I guess?
