By rebuilding do you mean completely new chassis? The current one is really dickered, a new chassis is the only option as far as that's concerned :/

Well, I'm not an expert at welding - done bits of mig welding. But the chap who was working on my car (personal friend of the family for years, so no trust issues etc) said that after welding on a new patch he had to keep cutting away because you have to weld on clean metal...something along...

Well, spoke to garage owner who MOT'd my discovery 1 1998 premium and the amount of money (even at mates rates) and time needed to repair the chassis would be astronomical...could easily buy a new galvanised chassis to put it one way! Everything else is fine so I'll either offer it on for...

Just under the car cleaning the chassis up ready for an undercoat and I'm just wondering what this rusted piece of junk is? My guess would be it is (was) a fuel tank guard. Either way, it's coming off. Just curious if it's urgent that it be replaced. Cheers! If theres no pic, this is...

Hi all, first proper post... I bought my disco 1 knowing that the rear brakes needed completely re-doing and I am looking forward to getting stuck into it! Ordered some new tyres/wheels whilst I'm at it (Won't go into too much detail, I've figured that's a forbidden topic on this forum ;) )...
