My 1994 Discovery has developed an intermitent fault with the immobiliser. On a few occasions when the doors are opened with the key the immobiliser does not turn off hence I am unable to start the car. I have up to know been able to turn off the immobiliser by locking and unlocking the doors...

does the type of tyre you are using effect road/tyre noise. I have just brought my first Discovery that is running Goodyear AT tyres. The noise is at its worst when traveling around 55mph and seems to come more from the back wheels.

I need to have the cam belt changed on my 300tdi and was wondering if you could recommend a garage/mechanic around Mid Cornwall. I live in St austell. Also how much should I expect to pay for the job. Thanks

Picked up my first discovery 300tdi yesterday. Looking through the service history i noticed that the last cam belt change was done in April 2006 at 128k miles. The Disco has now done 152k miles so is it time to have it changed ? Thanks

Ok folks Im new to the landrover scene and have just purchased a dico 300 tdi. Can somebody please explain in simple terms what the diff lock- high low gear knob does and when i would use it. Sorry for the basic question but as I said Im a newbie :)

Hello everybody my name is Alan and I live in Cornwall. I am new to this site but not to Landrovers as I once renovated a series 3 109, which I then sold !!!! Off to look at a 300tdi tomorrow not expecting to much for the price but hope its worth the journey. Will let you know how it goes.
