Hi , thanks for your comments, car is 2009 just out of warranty ! One thing I forgot to mention is the sat nav disc will not eject - does not help the situation. Maybe no choice but to look for a used one on eBay - I guess the risk there is whether that will work etc Cheers Andy

Can anyone help , the sat nav (DVD) player is clicking resulting in a flickering screen , sometimes the sat nav will start working after a couple of mins sometimes does not work for a day or so - message says no nav available . Stereo etc is fine !!! Dealer wants to fit new DVD player at £1800...
