    P38A About time... Overheating

This is what I have been reading. Not read anything yet about it potentially causing more problems, just that it has either been successful or not, and mostly success from the reading I've done. It was what the specialist suggested in the case of a cracked block as the only thing he has ever...

    P38A About time... Overheating

I'm just outside Arbroath. I have had a good look around the hoses. The leak at the throttle body is currently the least of my problems though. When driving it back last night from the garage it would go into the red after a mile or so. When I pull over, the water was obviously boiling, and...

    P38A About time... Overheating

I'm not ready to sell it yet if I'm honest. I've only had it 3 months, and it's not quite game over yet as it currently stands me a little over £2500. So I'd want more than anyone should realistically be willing to pay for it (£1300), as it sits now (with the A bar, steps, light guard, dog...

    P38A About time... Overheating

Ha ha. I'm in Arbroath, Scotland. I called on Domino from the landyzone international rescue first time my EAS went tits up as I was in Dunfermline, and he was closest to me. Fortunately he managed to appease my fears before coming over the water, and I drove home, slowly, bouncing on the...

    P38A About time... Overheating

Not really. I'm not sure what more I could have done to maintain it. It hadn't missed a service in it's history, but was due one. I then fully serviced it as soon as I got it (other than the drive home) with full fluids changes, filters, plugs and brakes etc.. Was working my way through the...

    P38A About time... Overheating

So, after around 19 years of driving, and buying and selling many many cars, it's about time I bought a lemon. So, my latest P38A is just that car. I needed something cheap, and quickly. It was local, and had some nice bits on it, was cheap enough (well, apparently not), but needed some stuff...

    EAS fault code 80...

Thanks for that. I'll have a look at the fuses, but as said, as I can reset it, it's more likely a sensor issue I guess? I'm sure it said something like RR valve stuck open? I'm guessing that's Right Rear (or Rear Right), but is it a valve on the bag? Would that just need cleaned? I thought...

    3.0 tdv6

I'm thinking of a TDV8 myself in a few months. Currently thinking of what would be the best diagnostics gear to cover both, since Nanocom doesn't seem to cover pre-2010 L322's. No different to a P38 then?

    3.6 tdv8 chip upgrade

That's clearly not how it works though is it? The extra fuel economy is when you are NOT utilizing the extra power. If you drive the same as normal, then you get better economy. If you do use the extra power, then you do, of course, use extra fuel. Sure, fuel economy benefits may well be...

    3.6 tdv8 chip upgrade

To be fair, he never said you get it all at the same time. While all of it can still be had from a remap. I have remapped many motors, both petrol and diesel, and have benefited from from both more power and more mpg in every case.

    EAS Cable, where to get?

Nice one. I was sure I read that somewhere in a search, but couldn't remember. I've PM'd him now.

    EAS Cable, where to get?

So, just had the EAS Fault (hard fault I believe) on my RR, and would like to get a cable so that I can use the EAS Unlock V3 Software Tool from RSW solutions to diagnose / clear fault(s) / codes. The car has recently had new bags all round and a reconditioned compressor, so would like to see...

    Error Codes.

This was my point. I don't know what things are called. I can see from pictures fine, but I aint a mechanic, but whilst I am happy to attempt some stuff, most of it is a learning curve. MartyUK, that's exactly what I needed. I should be able to figure out what to do from there. Hopefully...

    Error Codes.

Yep, told you I wasn't great without pictures... Is this it in here then: I have traced a cable to something in there, but I wouldn't have a clue how to access it, it's a bit tight. The other place I was thinking was behind that big fan, but I don't have the appropriate tool for removing the...

    Error Codes.

Well, I'm pretty useless without pics. Can't seem to place it. This is what I thought it was : Can anyone point to it in a picture? Or at least the area where I should be looking. I am not really a mechanic, and have almost no idea what things are called. Here are a couple pics I just...
