What is it with landrover dealers ?

I have it on good authority my local stealer needs £180,000 a month to break even. Is there really any need for the extravagant showrooms we now see? £2500 for a replacement sat nav is just unbelievable.

L-series starting problem - glow plug & engine management fuses blow

I dont think it will be the glow plugs as there should not have been any power to them if the engine was running. Glow plug relay/ wiring fault could blow the 2 fuses you mentioned.

L-series starting problem - glow plug & engine management fuses blow

Seeing as I have a table full of cct diags at moment had a quick look, would that be link 3 in the engine bay, and either fuse 6 or 10 in passenger fuse box. I desperatly need a 199 drawing and going off the 2001 TD4 drawings, so may struggle, but maybe check out the glow plug relay for a start

    A different central locking problem

I give in. All the symptons are as if the inertia switch has tripped, it hasn't, there is 12v on pin 16 of C0248 which according to the cct diags is the feed from the inertia switch. I can unlock the drivers door with one press of fob, all other doors unlock the superlock. Get in car shut door...

    A different central locking problem

I've spent way too much time on this now, still not resolved anything. I have also noted that the front electric windows are supposed to work for about 40 seconds after ignition is turned off, they don't, they stop working as soon as the ignition is turned off. I am finding it harder to figure...

    A different central locking problem

Yes all the windows work. I have tested the cdl switch in another car and it works fine. I have searched and searched the net for an answer but only found one post with the same problem, it occured after he hed the car repaired from a frontal accident. Mine has a newish bumper on it, so...

freelander L-series my findings after a couple of months ownership.

Hi as a new owner of an l series freelander I find it a bit sluggish mid range and would like to give the engine a full service. What filters did you change air oil and fuel I can find (may get a pipercross for the air (panel) filter. But which are the vacuum filters and after searching for...

    A different central locking problem

Never having used the door lock switch next to the ashtray, does this work when ignition is on or off. This at the moment does nothing when trying to lock doors, but unlocks (or tries to unlock back doors) before turning ignition on after entering the car. Once the ignition has been turned on...

    A different central locking problem

I wouldn't have thought switching the ignition on would have unlocked the doors, but if one of the sensors had failed then as in other posts I have seen on here the doors would continuously try and unlock themselves. Further investigation has shown that in both back doors the super lock...
