    90/Early Defender engines

Hopefully not, in the Peugeot I will have a 'Smart' box (grrrr) to bring the insurance from £1800 to £1200 on a 997cc engine. Sigh.

I know, I do full time college, and as it's the summer holidays I'm working three days a week and doing self employed gardening stuff, saving like mad.

    Yep - £3,827.21 I was quoted yesterday on a '94 200TDi (just wanted to see). £2200 if I have a year's no claims.

There's no way I can be insured on Dad's RR or Uncle's Focus ST D:

Did not know that. How do the 2.25 and 2.5 petrols drive? What are their 'cruising' speeds?

    90/Early Defender engines

Hello :) My question's about the differences between all the engines from the beginning of the 90, up to and including the 200TDi. But first, some background. I'm looking for an early Ninety or Defender which is quite tatty. My budget is up to £2000 as an absolute maximum. I'd like to try...
