Hi R06ert, the window doesn't work when using either the switch on the driver door or the switch on the rear door. Could it be that both would have malfunctioned at the same time? Ill give it a try anyway.

Thanks for he advice Birchy, unfortunately my moaning fell on deaf ears. After 45mins of pushing the point that others with exactly the same issue were replaced I gave up. Unless that is you have any other suggestions. I found LR UK very unhelpful and would rather not I've them any more...

Ok some goodish news, the mechanic says its not the gearbox but the drive shaft. Apparently the full kit as he refferee to it is about £625. Then charging me £150 labour. All in including vat just over £900. Does this sound a reasonable amount?

Lol not a chance. The previous owner who I've known for many years isn't into pimping up rr's. He's in his late 60's. Used it mostly to transport coy carp. Any ideas how that might have happened? How do you get it readjusted or checked? Thanks 2.0_hippo
