    Cranking no start

Can’t see clearly where that pipe is from - which part of the engine is it from? check the powers and grounds for the ecm as first port of call. The 5 volt circuits are all separate in the car (not sure on internal to ecu) but a faulty sensor could pull the voltage down and cause the P0642 to...

    Cranking no start

I would say do some diagnosis using a multimeter and wiring diagram first before condemning ecm when did the fault occur and what has happened to the car prior to the fault?

    Leaking fuel from near injectors!

Yours looks like a Freelander 2 2.2 diesel and the spill return pipes are different to the BMW 2.0 Td4 references above. From memory the spill pipes are relatively cheap from Land Rover

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Radio problems

How long does the radio stay lit up for? It should stay illuminated for about 2 minutes until the car shuts down. There were a few technical bulletins on this to update the software in the radio to resolve the issue. I assume everything else electrical on the car is working normally?

    No GPS

Does it show the symbol gps with a line through it? you can change the country in the sat nav settings - have you updated the maps or anything recently?

    Freelander 1 Thermostat

Td4 thermostats fail in the open position so you get constant cooling and fuel economy suffers. Temp gauge should be around the middle even in normal driving after approx 5-10 minutes.

    Tailgate remote opening!

The switch is the bit you press in the centre of the handle above the rear number plate to open the tailgate. These can get water in and fail.

    Driving lights staying on

The daytime running light option could be enabled in the CCF - how long have you owned the car? can you take a photo of which bulbs are illuminated? Also do you have auto lights? Were the wipers on or sensor obscured? do the fog lights work and the headlight adjust and dimmer?

    DAB disappeared

There’s a label on the fuse box lid - look for one which looks like a radio

    Fuel System

With low fuel level on FL2 the engine will stop to prevent a total loss of fuel in the lines and in theory all you’ll need to do is add more fuel and away you go. Otherwise you’ll need to manually bleed the system. Sounds like a throttle housing issue to me what fault codes have been read?
