Loaded a couple of spades inot the back and spent a couple of hours digging trenches from our flooded lane across verges to ditches to allow the water to drain away. Doing our local councils job for them. Hoping for a council tax rebate.

V8 4.4 everyday of the week. I’ve got a 2014. Completely understressed engine at motorway cruising. Put your foot down hard though & it goes like the proverbial par-boiled moggy. Returns 32-35 mpg. As others have said the V6 has an abysmal reputation.

Cheers guys. We used a lot of stainless fittings at work before I retired so still have contacts with local suppliers. They’ve supplied me with core T bolts for propshaft UJ’s when a well known parts supplier sent the wrong ones !
