Cheers big judd, I was trying to avoid faults like this hence I did the work with the battery still connected, but ended with worse. Oh we'll it's all sorted now.

Sorry I must of misunderstood the purpose of this site, I thought it was somewhere Land Rover owners could ask for help and assistance then fellow like minded owners could provide assistance however it looks like I was very much mistaken. (Apart from a couple of helpful replies)

I guess it each to their own, I just don't like the original lights so I went for a change/up grade and where's the fun in not playing, it's a hobby.

I've sorted it, it turned out to be a blown fuse. F15 (5A) in the passenger side fuse box had gone, I must of missed it when checking all the fuses (I had to keep getting out the way while cars drove up the road). I don't know why so many things stopped working, but to be honest I don't care...

Yeah I cut each wire one t a time then made off the joint with heatshrink sleeve over itl then moved on to the next wire. I'm hoping to find a comon link in all the effected circuits???? Ian

I had the same problem and this post gave me a lot of help and information. I found it happened when maintaining speed, ut ok when excelarating or slowing down and only when the gearbox was warm. I had my car in to a couple of LR specialists with no joy, in the end I took it to Selector...

Richard, I haven't because I've only cut off 100mm of cable that went to an unconnected plug so I don't belive it is forming a circuit/loop to anything else. Big_Ginga _Beard thanks for the advice I'll repost it now
