mine is a 300 tdi too ?just have a look as it sounds like what mine was doing its a single wire think it is a fuel cut of switch ?

on the back of the diesel pump there is a wire give it a wiggle or pull it off and clean it even give it a little crimp and clean the spade terminal that it fits on too give that a go it should fix it as i had the same with mine hope that helps

thats if the wires are broken ?and do you mean trip meter ? i its digital wil be more to it than a bit of solder pop out the cluster and send it off to a specialist

would be best to cut it out what you can .then put some weld thru primer on it b4 you weld it up to stop any more rusting depending on the welding skills some people just cover it up plate over the top which is fine for mot b4 you stonchip the plate put some primer to seal it

hi im a painter and i would say if your doing them at home in your garage only get the garage warm and make sure the panels are warm b4 you paint them and also make sure the paint is at room temperature it can make alot of differance in application .is it 2k solid or water based ?and clear coat...
