I use heriatage insurance. I have an agreed valuation of 10k for my 1985 defender.... Although it has had loads of money spent on it, i just sent in 6 photos and i'm on a 5000 mile limited policy per year.

Fitted new stereo system, fitted cb radio and aerial, fitted new rear bench seats, fitted new rear interioe side pannels with net storage, fixed my water leak from my flip out fronts vents. Just got to fit my new door pannels now.

Pick up phone.... Dial local windscreen company.... Pay someone to do it that knows what they are doing. Simples. Seriously, by the time you have bought a tube of windscreen sealer and got it everywhere you may as well get someone to do it. If you were local to me i would do it for you...

I've got eaxctly the same problem... As soon as you hit a slight bump, it shakes your teeth out.

Dont really plan on using it off road, well not extreme off road. It is going to end up a pretty pampered 4x4. It's quite a head turner already... The guy i bought it off spent quite a bit of money on it. I'll put some pictures up in a couple of weeks once i have put a few touches of my own...

After a bit of research on the web, it seems the cause of the problem may be the Panhard rod bushes, so i have ordered some and will get them fitted to see if it fixes the problem. Will let you all know how it goes.

It is already pretty bling, so i'll probably stick with that as it is pretty tidy.

Hi All. I have a bit of steering wheel wobble at around 50 mph... My defender 90 has 20" range rover sport alloys with the hub conversion plates. Could it maybe be a worn ball joint, or has anyone else had any experience with this set up ? Chris

Hi All. I have just aquired a defender 90 300tdi. It is my first 4x4, and after being used to owning fast cars, i absolutely love driving the defender over any of them ! Looking forward to doing a few changes to make it my own.
