Im not a fan of 10/40 even thou its what the book says . Its way to thin for engine esp these v8s they have very low oil pressure when idleing. I found 20/50 perfect for mine the oil pressure rose by 15psi.

Ok it sounds like I better connect the winch to the main battery as the tmaxx wont be powerful enough to have it running of the aux battery unless I upgrade all wiring . The engine will be running while winching so it keeps the power flowing .thanks guys

Good shout . There seems to be difrent veiws on this on other sites . People say main because the cable in the tmaxx system isnt heavy enough

I have just fitted a tmaxx split charge system to power a second battery. The second battery is running the lights and a few other bits. I have a winch now and im not sure which battery to connect it to . What do people think . Thanks

In the beginning of this conversation it was about oil pressure so with sassanach advice I put old rockers and shafts back on and the oil psi went up then done zens advice and done bottom end bearings and now oil pressure is right up .

Im still thinking either a sticking valve or the tappets are knackered cause I ran it with low oil pressure

Some one has just told me that it might be the cam wheel hitting the retaing bolts . And there is difrent cams for serpentine belts engines ? What do you guys think .. pls read last few comments
