Hi Alex....did you ever find the problem? I have a 2005 freelander doing exactly the same...losing water and oil light flickering at idle...the garage keep saying they cant find anything wrong with it and give it back just for it to overheat again :-(

The oil level seems fine. the water level is ok at the moment. going to give it a good run around this week and keep an eye on the levels. Thats a good idea about taking the guys out for a drive in it to show them im not making it up....

Thanks. I have tried looking through the fuses and cant find the one for that. All the indicators, warning lights etc light up when i turn the engine on just when i put my lights on there is no back lighting on the dash so when its dark i cant see my speed etc. I think a trip to the garage is...
