    I've just checked the new one i have bought, and yes your right there is a rubber cap fitted to the plungers tip. I'm guessing this has fallen off and got stuck in the gallery and preventing fuel getting to the injectors.

    neilly, no injector union at pump end dry as a bone, I've let it crank over for a good few seconds, around 30 seconds it's a pain as I go out and a minute or 2 later it belts down, got 3 days of this by the looks.
