You need a bonnet with a recess in it to facilitate the spare wheel. Look out for an old military one.

Fit it on one of the lower Bell Housing Bolts.

Hi. I had the same problem with a new 109 tilt from Exmore. I phoned them and they advised me to pull the end straps as tight as passible. I did this over a few weeks and kept it wet. Sorted the problem and now fits perfect. Chris.

I had the same problem on my 1984 109 FFR. The problem was the Earth on the Dash. I removed the 2 Gauge's and cleaned the Earths. That solved the problem. My 109 does not have a Voltage Stabilizer fitted. Regards. Chris.

Hi All. The inficators have failed on my 1984 FFR 109. The Hazzard and all other lights are working. Is the problem likely to just be the Stalk.

I have connected the fuel pump to just 1 tank and it is running fine.

I have a feeling that it is leaking at the valve. I am taking it off this evening to have a look.

Thanks for your reply. That had not occurred to me. However, I think I might gave a problem at the Change-over Valve. I got a strong smell of petrol in the Cab and when I checked the fuel lines I noticed that there was petrol under the valve. Checked the connections and all were tight.

Hi All. I am contemplating putting a 24 volt Fuel Pump on my 1984 109 FFR Petrol. I am having problems with the mechanical pump. It keeps draining back into the tanks. Would you recommend any perticular make or type and has anyone done this already. Regards. Chris.

If the engine is still attached to the gearbox then it could be a clutch or gearbox issue rather than the engine. Remove the engine before you go any further. It is not uncommon for the clutch plate to stick to the flywheel after lying up for a while.
