I am trying to sort out noise problem coming from back of car before putting prop on dont want to knack my new vcu up. Matches are sounding better by the day

the doors are the only good thing on it at the moment. the prop is still off it. have not put blanking plate on ird so flange is still there. cheers

would anyone know the dia. of the gear selector rod linkage bushes. there is a kit available at the moment one bush is 20mm the other is 18mm are these the right sizes. thanks steve.

hello. one of the many problems i am having at the moment is when i am in 2nd gear at 2000rpm i get a noticeable vibration up both pillars on windscreen. have only noticed it since i took prop off to do vcu. any ideas as to fault if any. thanks

i have put new pinion bearing and seal in, there is now no play or oil leak. i tightened pinion nut up just enough to take up end float, all seemed well but now i am getting a loud noise coming from back of car every now and then. could it be coincidence and be a wheel bearing or shoes binding...

hi would anyone be able to tell me which is the correct pinion bearing for freelander 2.0xedi. i have bought a tzz100140, but have now seen sites saying it is tzz100150. also can i replace pinion bearing and seal with diff in situ. cheers steve.

am taking my prop off in morning, would anyone know what size torx bolts are on front and back where it bolts on to flanges. thanks steve

yes definitely the prop having a lot of swagger on it. just to confirm it there was a big crunching mangling sound coming from the diff as i pulled in front of the house today. i will have to put it into 2wd so i can drive it to mates garage to get repaired when my parts come for it next week...

thanks for your reply vissie, hopefully it is just a case of a new pinion seal, would a damaged seal allow so much side to side and up and down freeplay on the flange when you shake the propshaft. this is all new to me so your help is appreciated.
