This happened to me recently. If your battery is getting past its sell-by date the cold weather will reveal it - a quick boost from a battery charger will give it a surface charge but it won't hold the charge for long. It could be the connections but if it happens again change out the battery...

I had a defender up until last year and replaced it with a Mitsi L200. I was hankering after another defender but was tempted into my first disco by the much cheaper pricetag. It's a TD5 on an '02 plate - verrr naarce. Reading this thread I hope I'm not going to regret it. :eek:

Hi from another newbie. I've just got a 1988 110 and the headliner was sagging and rather smelly (mould). I spend an hour ripping it out and took it to the dump. I'm happy without it now, even with the interior light wiring taped to the roof! :)
