Update - twas faulty new park switch which came with new wiper motor!!!!! doh! So now have programmeable delay, result;)

A bit late I know but I'm bored, regarding wipers working in reverse. You need to split the new motor and remove the gear,seperate the nylon gear from the park switch cam and rotate it 180 degrees and rebuild job done.

Wiper motor packed in DEF 90 1999 bought new complete with park switch but now have no delay ( just on constant) and when on 1 when switched off just stops where its at!!! Even tried new VW99 relay which incidently doesnt work , once wipers switched on they wont go off at all!!!! cheers...

Fitted one of these relays to my 1999 def, but it don't work, once you switch wipers on they wont stop or delay, so put original relay in back in and now normal operation. Any ideas guys?:mad:

hi what did you do with old motor as I need one to test my wiper cicuit as my motor seems to be dead:confused: I am in cumbria and dont mind a jont to maybole to get it.............cheers jim.

Definately the crank bearing? My viscous fan bearing is noisey when started but after she warms up it disappears:D. just a thought.

Hi any way to test front wiper motor directly off battery? motor has 3 wires I'm guessing 12V neutral and signal red blue yellow, and yes it's dead at the minute.:(

I washed me 90 fowlers white roof!!!!!................it's white? Wow! what a difference, shiny shiny! blew out all the drain holes.....euch!!... the s**t in there!! Too early to vaseleeeeeen the joints for winter.......hahaha or is it??;) Keep on Defenden!:D

Yea pemslandy, I'd had enough of these type connectors ended up binning them and starting from scratch, must look up choc blocks,cheers jim.

Well tottot very interesting you say about the blue connectors as thats exactly what was causing it, and now i understand that the current must be right before bulb will light, ( ie moving volts), excellent, thanks for that. Sorted brake light switch and think it is part of MOT!!!! jim.
