hi im still having problems with my p38 i have change the fuel pump,fuel filter,leak off pipes and it had a new battery and glow plugs 6 months ago. it will start then run for about 4 seconds the revs just die then it cuts out it has no revs if you put you foot to the floor nothing happens it...

yeh all seems fine cant see any leaks, its bizzare just took it out it started first time and drove fine yet i know tomorrow it will be a pig to start in the morning

i have just checked the fuel pump and disconnect the pipe to the fuel filter and turned on the ignition and it is working, i also drained the fuel filter and it was clean i did replace it the same time as the fuel pump do you think it would worth fitting a new one.

i can hear the fuel pump when i turn the ignition on and i bought the glow plugs from brookwells so i would of thought they would be ok and surely the engine would not fire if they were dud coz it will run just dies

Hi i have a p38 dse and it has just started to play up starting. It will start up but has no power and wont rev then dies and then it takes about 3 attempts to start and run. If you keep your foot on the floor eventually it will pick up the revs and then it is fine for the rest of the day. it...

i have just noticed now it is getting dark there is a faint glow on the park light by the gear stick wouldnt that indicate a faulty reciever

fun you should say that i am having problems with locking ,the front passenger doesnt work at all unless you lift the lever the back 2 work off the key fob and the boot and drivers door on the key could that be due to a faulty rf reciever

sorry i ment i have disconnected the rf receiver the black box in the boot on right handside is that still bad

ideal it has been draining the battery in a couple of days so i have disconnected the becm so i hoping that will stop it

i checked my battery last night and the voltage was 12.65 and now at 1pm it is down to 12.62 is that acceptable or would you say i have a drain

i had the same problem and it was the fuel pump, it is in the tank you should hear a buzzing noise from the tank when you turn on the ignition. you can take the pipe off the top of the fuel filter it has a push down retaining clip turn the key if fuel comes out its not the pump. hope it helps

Hi everyone i am simon and have a 1998 p38 and it is driving me mad when i unlock with the key fob the back doors unlock and when puting the key in the door the driverside and the boot unlock and i hasve to lift the leaver for the passenger side front can anyone help before i have a breakdown please
